Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How much photography time do we get?
After the camera set-up tuition you should get about 30 minutes actual shooting time. This is plenty of time to take a selection of different poses and combinations if you have several children. The remainder of the session time will be spent choosing and correcting your images for printing.
Will I have help with posing the children?
Yes! We have a selection of Pose Cards you can choose from and we'll have a professional photographer on hand to guide you.
Do I have to use you for our prints
No!. Your course fee includes a free colour corrected 8" x 6" print to take away. After that you are free to choose to have the remaining pictures printed wherever you like. If you prefer then The Studio 17 can correct them all in Photoshop for you and have them printed on paper or canvas at their normal competitive rates.
What happens if I want more time?
If you want more time you can either pay for another session or arrange to higher the Studio 17 at another time at the rate of £150 per hour.

A fantastic addition to the standard photography course. I wanted to know which settings to use for portraits and low light photography and this course covered everything.
A very good portrait and low light photography course. I've learnt such a lot and had the chance to put it all in to practice today. Glen's courses are very well put together and I would certainly recommend them. - Thank you!
Another enjoyable day. I don't think I will ever use direct flash again. I would certainly recommend this course and I can't wait to go out and put it into practice my new skills.
This was an extension to the basic Digital SLR course. Glen's simple explanations followed by practical examples and practice work really well. I'm much more confident now in taking photographs in a variety of situations.
A fantastic day and I have learnt so much. The practical aspects are really enforced by the theory. I feel in a very good position to take my photography onwards with the re-assurance that I can contact Glen for some excellent support and advice. Thank you.
I'm an 18 year old student and I was worried about fitting in with the different age groups but everyone was very friendly and welcoming. This made me feel much more confident about taking photographs and I wasn't afraid to ask for any help. I loved my day and it was definitely worth flying over from Northern Ireland for the course.
I wanted to learn how to get the best out of my camera and every question was answered. A very good course which I would recommend to anyone who wants to learn about their camera. There is so much to learn in one day.
