Book Your Big Cat Photography Course Here - £146 - 1 Space
- Price Includes the £11.95 Entry Charge to the Zoo.
Sunday 23rd October 2016. 10 am to 4.30 pm including lunch
The Zoo are obviously charging me for their facilities so we require a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 12.There will not be time for me to cover the absolute basics again so you need to have attended a Beginners Photography Course or the Bird and Landscape Photography Course before attending this course.
Photograph Cheetahs, Foxes, Wolves & Tigers
The park opens for normal day visitors from 10.30am but we all need to be there for 9.30am for your photography training until 11am. After a safety briefing we'll start the Big Cat and Foxes photographic sessions. There will then be a short break for lunch and some free time to visit the rest of the zoo to see some of the other animals. The racoons and meerkats are well worth a visit.
There will be a chance to review your images over lunch and correct any techniques you haven't mastered before we start again at 2pm with the maned wolfs and tigers until 3.30pm. There will be a chance to review your images and receive feedback before we finish at 4.30pm. If you don't need to review your images there are lots of other animals in the park to photograph.
There is a entry fee of £11.95 per person which is included in the £146 course fee. If this should increase between now and the course I will pay the differance.
The day will follow the normal format for our courses and start off with a quick recap of the basics including the best settings to use to photograph animals through wire mesh, and where to stand for the best shots. I'll also give you some tips for photographing animals through glass indoors.
We will be working with some very experienced animal keepers from the zoo to ensure we get up close and personal pictures of the different wildlife.
We will then do a final review with constructive feedback and help you choose your best pictures. This is followed by a short photo-editing demonstration before finishing about 4.30pm.
This is a Level Two course so it is highly recommended that you attend one of our Beginners Photography Courses first. If you have attended a beginner’s course elsewhere please contact us first as our courses train you to a much higher standard than most other photography courses.

“Fantastic course with Glen’s tuition I feel I have managed to get some great shots.”Alan Everitt
I've had a fantastic day. The course was very informative and I wish I had done it sooner. I now know how to use the ISO correctly, about composition and how to use the correct aperture. I couldn't believe some of the photos I took and I can't wait to go out and experiment. I just have to decide which course to do next.
Lunch was lovely too.
A really enjoyable course which I wish I had come on when I first purchased my camera.
I have learnt so much in one day, due to the good balance of practical and theory, and I'm looking forward to coming on another course soon.
Having spent over a year using my camera only on full auto to take photos I decided I needed help to figure out all the settings I should be using.
I'm so pleased I did.
This photography course explained all the settings and all the best picture composition tips I needed. Glen ensured no one left without all of their questions being answered- including me.
A very informative course delivered in a relaxed and friendly way. I'm sure I will be back for another class. It has increased my enthusiasm for taking photos. Rebecca Dockrell
Congratulation go to Digital Photography Courses student Di Norwood for her winning photographs in the Kettering Camera Club Competition.
This course is superb and refreshes your understanding in the photography basics. I feel inspired to use all the settings on my camera. This is my second course with Glen and I have no doubt it will not be my last. He is a very patient and excellent teacher. Siobhan Kemsley.
An excellent day. It really help to simplify what until now had been a complex subject. I now have the confidence to use to use my DSLR and I can't wait to get out there and start practicing.
