Beginners Digital Photography Courses

Digital Photography CoursesThese one day Digital SLR photography courses are limited to six students and will suit anyone from the complete beginner to the intermediate DSLR photographer.

Many novice photographers tend to use their expensive DSLR on the fully auto setting and are often unimpressed by the average results achieved. This one day photography course will demonstrate when to use all the other settings and how to take fantastic photographs you would be proud to hang on your wall.

Suitable for complete novice
All our Digital SLR photography courses start off with the absolute basics and progress, step by step, through to some of the more technical aspects. Each camera operation or photography lesson is followed by a demonstration then a practical session.

After the camera and outdoor practical photography sessions we review the images and offer constructive feedback. This is followed by photo-editing tutorial where we will show you how to get the very best from your your photographs. You can see picture from previous students here

Hybrid or Bridge Photography Course

Most courses are mainly intended for Digital SLR users but we do sometimes get asked if Bridge or Hybrid cameras users can attend the Digital SLR photography courses. The proviso is that some of the more technical aspects of Digital SLR photography might not apply to the bridge camera but you will still find the course beneficial and enjoyable. If you are happy to accept these conditions below then you are welcome to attend. You will be informed during the course of any items do not apply to your bridge camera.

Is this photography course suitable for you?

1. If you want to understand the setting and the more technical aspects of your camera, as well as learning how to take better photographs, then you will be OK on the DSLR course. The proviso is that a few aspects of the DSLR will not apply to your camera, removable lenses etc.

2. If you really just want to take better pictures without getting too technical then please attend a compact camera photography course. This was the previous method. See here.

Many Thanks

This course covered much more than I expected but it wasn't rushed. Glen has a relaxed teaching style and if your not sure about anything he's patient and happy to re-track until you understand.

This Photography course offered the perfect mix of theory and practical photography. It's a brilliant way to learn how to take perfect pictures. I would definitely recommend any amateurs wanting to learn how to use their cameras properly.

Tom Pugh

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011

I thoroughly enjoyed the day and after four years of owning a digital camera I've learned more in one day than I had in the previous four years put together. At last I understand what I'm doing and I look forward to taking much better photographs.

A fantastic day. I've learnt so much. Thank you Glen. I'll definitely be returning to do other courses as you explain everything in such a clear way. Really enjoyable. I really enjoyed the lunch too.
