About Digital Photography Courses
We believe in putting our students first and your training is of paramount importance. Unlike many other photography courses we offer continued support through our very active Facebook and Flickr groups.
We also provide a monthly newsletter with tips and projects plus updates and news of upcoming courses and events. We produce our own calendar and have an annual group outing where members can put names to the Facebook faces. This year it's a at Foxton meal and then we are off to Foxton Locks for the afternoon to chat and snap.
Response the the calendar was so good this year that we decide it would be a good idea to show our work to a wider audience so we will be holding an exhibition at the Leicester Peoples Photography Gallery. This is at the old Lending Library on Belvoir Street, Leicester, near to the council offices, between 2nd - 31st July 2012.

About the Tutor - Glen Tillyard
I'm an NCTJ qualified professional press photographer, with over 30 years experience working at the Leicester Mercury. During that time I have covered a vast range of photographic subjects and won several awards including Midlands Press Photographer of the Year.
I've also taught and lectured in photography and Photoshop at many adult colleges and schools throughout Leicestershire. We've also run specialist courses for Police Forces, Corporate's and Charities, including the British Red Cross.
I now specialise in running photography courses helping beginners to get the very best from their digital camera. I'm passionate about helping you to get off the full auto setting and I'll show you how to take stunning photographs in just one day.
Beginner's Photography Course £135 Book Here
All our One Day Digital SLR camera courses are limited to six students and will suit anyone from the complete beginner to the intermediate Digital SLR photographer. The course includes a free pocket guide to landscape, portrait and action photography.
Many novice photographers tend to use their expensive Digital SLR Camera on the fully auto setting and are often unimpressed by the average results this achieves. If you intend to use your camera like this you may as well stick with a compact camera. These jargon free Photography Courses will explain in simple terms when to use all the other settings and we'll show you how to take stunning photographs you will be proud to hang on your wall.
Course Requirement - a DSLR or Bridge Camera with PASM settings
This Photography Course Will Show You How To:
- Choose the correct menus settings & when to use them
- Take a well composed portrait with a blurry background
so the focus is on the person.
- Take a well composed landscape with everything sharp or isolate a flower soit stands out from it’s background.
- Freeze the action at a sporting event or show movement
for a sense of speed and excitement.
- Take well exposed pictures indoors at a concert, museum
or church without using the flash
Having spent over a year using my camera only on full auto to take photos I decided I needed help to figure out all the settings I should be using.
I'm so pleased I did.
This photography course explained all the settings and all the best picture composition tips I needed. Glen ensured no one left without all of their questions being answered- including me.
A very informative course delivered in a relaxed and friendly way. I'm sure I will be back for another class. It has increased my enthusiasm for taking photos. Rebecca Dockrell

An exceptional course which was excellent value. I now have a much clearer idea of how to use my DSLR in a variety of circumstances which will benefit both my professional & social photography. The training was clear and concise with a good balance between practical photography and theory. Thanks J.D.
